Improve fitnesswhilepickingupthefundamentalsof“bumping”and“setting.”Strengthen your arms and legs, develop jumping skills, and work on your ability to direct the ball. Build individual techniques while learning to play as a team member.
Beginning April 24th @ Astoria Middle School Gym Cost is $35. Clinic is held Tuesday evenings: Third & Fourth Grade: 6:00pm-7:00pm Fifth & Sixth Grade: 7:00pm-8:00pm
Join us on April 21st for the 2018 United Way of Clatsop County's Annual Day of Caring. Volunteers have two site options to choose from (Tapioca Park and Evergreen Fields) starting at 10:00am until 4:00pm. Volunteers will help clear brush, pull weeds, create tree wells, paint structures, and spread playground chips.
Be sure to sign up for the FREE "Thank you" barbecue at the end of the day at Camp Kiwanilong from 3:30-5:30pm. Come celebrate LIVING UNITED around the campfire with a delicious BBQ and scores! There will be family friendly entertainment to enjoy.

Gather your friends and co-workers ages 16 & up for a fun recreational team-building experience. We have men's and women's leagues available. Our first organizational meeting will be held in April. Cost is $400 per team or $430 when paid after May 20th. Register by calling (503) 325-7275.
Greta Cairns is a group fitness instructor at the Astoria Recreation Center. She currently teaches: Cycling, Barre and Core Strength. She has been with the City of Astoria for almost 2 years, and continues to exude an immense amount of passion, drive, and concern regarding the health and wellness of the Astoria community. Greta not only comes in with a smile on her face everyday, she is incredibly high energy and the epitome of positivity; keeping her students engaged and coming back for more! We are fortunate to have her as part of the Parks and Recreation Team!
